 Plein Air Location [Part C]

Welcomes drawers, painters, and pastelists with some experience or having taken the 'Introduction to Plein Air' class. In Plein Air, we work from observation out of doors. In this 3.5 hour class, we bring our supplies with us to different locations throughout Tucson. In this class, you will learn how to see shapes of color and light to make it easy to gather the information that can help your studio work or simply record your experiences.

Introduction to Plein Air

Ideal for any painter with some experience, who would like to receive feedback from an experienced instructor and work independently in a studio setting.

Pastel Landscapes in the Studio: Water

Ideal for anyone drawing or painting in the pastel medium, who would like to learn an approach for creating water. In this sequence on drawing Water we focus on how to capture the patterns and visual qualities associated with water.

Pastel Landscapes in the Studio: Rocks

Ideal for anyone drawing or painting in the pastel medium, who would like to learn an approach for creating rocks. In this sequence on drawing rocks, we focus on the basics of identifying distinctions in geological formations.

Pastel Landscapes in the Studio: Sky

Ideal for anyone drawing or painting in the pastel medium, who would like to learn an approach for creating skies. We learn how atmosphere and the position of the sun will affect the color, temperature, and value of the sky.
