Adult Art Classes in Tucson!

New student orientation for adult visual art classes are offered in multiple locations in Tucson, Arizona within a variety of mediums, subject matter or techniques!

New Student Orientation

Weekly classes are offered in Tucson, Arizona at multiple locations. Students may enter any class that is open for enrollment based on their comfort level and are more than welcome to repeat a class as many times as they like.

For those who are not sure where to start, join us for an 'Art Nite' session and speak to an instructor in person one on one.

In this weekly session, students execute self-directed projects in any medium within the studio. We facilitate a respectful supportive environment, where students can make meaningful connections, enjoy the benefits of social learning, develop camaraderie or gain feedback from an Art Verve instructor.


Here are the steps!

1) Assess your Skill Level 

Read the descriptions below. If you are an absolute beginner, the best way to enter the course carousel is to visit an 'Art Nite' session and ask the instructor or take a class in drawing, charcoal or graphite.

Absolute Beginner

Is unfamiliar with art supplies or has never taken an art class before. May not know what to buy in an art supply store or has never been in one before.


Has taken at least one art class or a drawing class but may not yet be confident in either drawing or painting (just starting to learn a skill).


In Drawing

Has a solid understanding of line, shape and value.

In Painting

Has a solid understanding of color mixing and brush types.


Has the confidence to either to try any new medium or switch from one medium to another.


Has both superb drawing and painting skills & has mastered mutliple or any medium.

2) Get on the Roster

Please enroll in each class. It reserves your seat and helps the instructor prepare for your arrival.

3) Pay Your Tuition

You may pay with a credit card when you enroll online or your may pay your tuition on the first day.

4) Find Your Location

If you need driving directions, visit the 'Locations page'. If your class in 'On Location' or in a 'Private Studio' the instructor will email you with the location the week before the class begins.

5) Be Comfortable

Wear comfortable shoes if you plan on standing at your easel. You may get dirty depending on the medium, so bring an apron or an old shirt that is suitable to get stained, soiled or ruined. If you are taking a plein air class be sure to bring a hat and wear sunscreen.

6) Materials and Art Supplies

Instructors will email you during the week before the class starts or will provide you with materials upon your arrival. Please visit our education blog for more information on art supplies or to read about our instructor recommendations.

7) Provide Your Information

Fill out the in registration form in person or register online so we can add you to our snail mail list.
