These are the definitions or guidance on what skill level you should look for when registering for a class or workshop with us.

- An Absolute Beginner is someone who is unfamiliar with art supplies or has never taken an art class before. They may not know what to buy in an art supply store or have never been shopping for any art supplies before.
- A Beginner is someone who has taken at least one art class, workshop, or drawing class but may not yet be confident in either drawing or painting (just starting to learn visual art skills).
- Intermediate for drawing is someone who has a solid understanding of line, shape, or value. Intermediate for painting is someone who has a solid understanding of either color mixing or brush types.
- Advanced is anyone who has either superb drawing or painting skills or they have mastered a single medium or multiple mediums.
