Admissions

Database Requirements
When you use our services, you trust us with your information; we understand this is a big responsibility. Our database is required to be encrypted at all times using military-grade AES-256 encryption at all times.

New Students
We ask that you complete a one-time new student information form online that asks for personal information. We use this for admissions, communications, or emergencies only.
We define personal information as anything that includes your name, address, date of birth, email, phone number, emergency contact information, financial records, credit information, medical history, resumes, travel information, or intentions to acquire goods and services.

Adults ages 16 & up (or accompanied by a guardian) can register or enroll for any class, workshop, or event.

Every instructor can set maximum enrollment per their unique class, workshop, or lecture.

Enrollment

Early enrollment or registration is strongly encouraged, as some events fill quickly, while others may be canceled due to insufficient enrollment or registration.
Enrollment is accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. If the event is at total capacity, you may be turned away.
Enrollment opens when we release the form via our website or advertise it in our monthly newsletter.

Enrollment happens after tuition is paid. Once received, you are no longer "registered." You are officially "enrolled."
Financial Transactions
We accept checks, cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. Note that if you have arranged to pay with a credit card in person, you may need to stay after class to run the transaction.

Gift Cards
If using a gift card, please select "Other" during registration or enrollment. We will then do the discount manually on your invoice.

Makeup Sessions
The Art Verve Academy or instructor is not obligated and is under no obligation to provide makeup sessions for missed absences or no-shows.
Handouts or Notes
If you paid tuition and need to miss a session, please coordinate with your instructor to receive any missed handouts or notes.
If you have yet to pay tuition, there is no obligation to provide handouts, information, or lecture presentation.

If an event is full, you must join the waitlist to be considered.
No tuition fee or deposit is required to be included on any waitlist. Event openings are given on a first-come, first-served basis per the order they sign-up on the waitlist.

If an emergency or unexpected event occurs, we reserve the right to substitute another instructor, modify the time, or change location.
We will notify all if there are any changes or deviations from the advertised instructor, time, and location as soon as possible.

Tuition

Tuition is the sum charged for a class, workshop, or event that involves an exchange of educational services.
A "material fee" is charged for consumable materials or supplies provided during a class, workshop, or event. A "model fee" is changed for any class, workshop, or event that uses a live model to pose for drawing or painting from life.

If the class, workshop, or event is still open for enrollment, the tuition fee is listed in the course catalog above the "enroll or register" button. If the tuition fee is no longer displayed, the event is no longer open for enrollment.

Tuition fees may vary as each class or workshop is unique in that it may or may not include materials within the price of the class.
Tuition fees for a weekly class of three hours usually average around ~$40 per session.

We do not offer reduced tuition rates for seniors or anyone on a fixed income.

We follow United States federal and Arizona state laws. Federal laws apply to everyone in the United States. State and local laws apply to people who live or work in a particular state, commonwealth, territory, county, city, municipality, town, township, or village.

COVID-19
The Art Verve Academy follows guidelines set forth by the Center for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC). Visittheir website to familiarize yourself with the latest up-to-date information.
Expectations for Learners
If you have not been vaccinated or tested for COVID-19, it is strongly recommended that you use the free online CDC Coronavirus self-checker tool. It will help you decide whether to seek COVID-19 testing, medical care or safely register for classes or workshops.
After registration, be alert for symptoms. If you feel unwell, do not attend in-person events, even if you have been vaccinated. Inform us immediately using the contact form. We will refund your tuition, no questions asked.
Please visit and follow the current CDC guidelines for guidance on wearing a mask.
Expectations for Instructors
Instructors will wash their hands often. They will set up tables for social distancing and may a microphone in large classrooms to be heard from a distance.
Administration Procedures
All registrants will receive a full refund if any class or workshop is canceled due to pandemic concerns.
All frequently used studio equipment and surfaces will be disinfected or cleaned before class or workshop.
